Glavon & Wye Dean Groups' Skittles - 19th October 2024

The Red Lion Inn at Huntley, between Gloucester and Ross on Wye was the venue for this mid day autumn social gathering. After a night of torrential rain, Saturday was dry, sunny and unusually warm for October which resulted in a number of TRs being present, even though the indoor venue would have been ideal whatever the weather!

Because of the number of participants involved, it was decide that we would play 'Killer' which was halted part way through for lunch with some delightful sandwiches and a seemingly endless supply of chips! 

The game resumed and the number of players was gradually reduced as lives were lost, until the final few players, all of whom were ladies, battled it out until Caroline Mason-Wenn was pipped at the post by eventual winner Avice Way.

It was a very enjoyable meeting where we were able to welcome new members of both groups and thanks go to Jeff and Caroline Mason-Wenn for organising it all. Who knows, further such lunchtime events may take place during the winter months while the TRs  are tucked up in their garages!
