Dear Friends
I hope that you and yours have been safe and dry during the unprecedented biblical storms of late. Such a change from the Kop Hill weekend when we were so luck with the weather. We had a very busy and successful show, once again, with 34 cars on the Saturday and 24 on the Sunday. We seem to have fed most of the county and we are most grateful to our chefs, Dave and Ian, who put in an exemplary shift all weekend. After covering all our costs, we were able to donate £625, including Gift Aid, to Prostate Cancer UK. Very well done to all, you generosity will be much appreciated !!
Our next meeting is this coming Wednesday, 2nd October, at The Peacock in Henton OX39 4AH from 18:30. Do come and join us if you can. You will be assured of a warm welcome.
The Chiltern Christmas Dinner Dance is Saturday 7th December at The Lambert Arms in Aston Rowant. Time to book your places if you haven’t already done so. We will be limited by the size of the function room to a maximum of 80. Des Gilmore tells me - “ currently we’ve 55 booked, not including approximately 10-12 regulars that’ve not yet confirmed. May I request if you wish to come, please let me know ASAP also confirm your payment and menu options. Currently I predict we’ll be very close to capacity (possibly over-subscribed)
All monies and menu choices must be in by 15th November”
So, if you haven’t booked and you don’t want to miss the party, do it today !!
