Leicestershire TR Group Tour to Spain and Portugal - September 2023

Spectacular scenery, challenging driving, with three stop overs covering about 1100 Miles but with plenty of time to absorb what Spain and Portugal has to offer. The tour takes the Brittany Ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, driving west along the north coast road through the Asturias with spectacular coastal stop overs at Ribadeo, Muxia (2 Days), a visit to Santiago di Compostela and Baiona (2 Days). We then drive south along the coast road to Porto (2 Days) with time to explore the City of Porto perhaps sample the Port and Wine of the district or maybe a River Cruise up the Douro Valley.

We then travel northwest through the spectacular Douro Valley before taking the more challenging mountain scenic route through Serra de Alvao, Serra de Barrosa, back into Spain and through Serra de Queiexa and finally the Pecos de Europa before heading back to Santander.
