1971 TR6 V8 (1971)

£24995

CP series TR6 fitted with mildly tuned Rover V8 engine. Owned by me since 2009 and previous owner for 20 years.
Car was converted to V8 in 1982, and fully rebuilt (body off chassis) in 1996. Car is fitted with Surrey backlight and Surrey soft top with TR6 front rail conversion. Uprated driveshafts, uprated front brakes, heated leather MX5 seats, new carpets etc.
the car starts runs and rides beatifully and while not significantly quicker than a decent ‘6, sounds fabulous (and does 30mpg on a run)
The speedo runs about 10% fast, the tacho (while converted to run on a V8) has never liked me and waves wildly (sometimes) and there is also a small crack in the paintwork on the drivers door. The minilites need a REALLY good polish (or a refurb if you’re feeling flush) but otherwise the car is in lovely condition. Only selling due to arrival of a project car and a house needing more work than we thought when we moved in.
