Long Cherished Triumph TR3 for Sale (1956)

£30000

I bought this then just fully restored TR3 (TS/9199) in 1994 as a retirement present to myself. A fully documented History File details my 30 year, 48000 mile ownership criss-crossing Europe to our French house and far beyond, and the rigorously ongoing mechanical upgrades and maintenance that enabled it. Being useless mechanically, I have over the years spent £30,000 (at historic prices) on professional support, including comprehensive steering, suspension and engine rebuilds by Revington TR amongst much else. Touring Reliability, not Concours or Race Tuning, has been my watchword.
RAC EuroClassic Runs evolved into Regularity Rallies of the gentlemanly rather than car breaking kind, morphing as we grew older into extensive long distance touring. A History File records the car's detailed year by year Maintenance and Usage history , backed up by documentary proofs of annual expenditure and mileage. This File can be seen with the car at Sherborne in Dorset, or extracts can be sent to seriously interested buyers. Pictures below show this History File emblazoned with our treasured TR Register December 1997 magazine front cover showing us cresting an Alpine Pass , the engine bay, the car interior, and a taste of our Retirement Usage. The selling price of £30,000 is within the Insurance Agreed Value.
