Whether you are a purist, and think that all cars should remain as true to the original as possible, or someone who feels that 'updating' a classic car to modern standards to make it more usable is their preference, I hope that you will appreciate the hours of work and thought that have gone into this car. I wanted to build a car that was as exceptional as I could make it… a one-off which would make me smile every time I got into it and turned the key, and between my vision (and many hours spent both stripping and investigating) and Protek's restoration/rebuild skills, I think that we have achieved this. I should say at this point that both Glen and Chris from Protek have produced a truly exceptional car in my eyes and it is a fitting testament to their skills. I am grateful to both of them for their determination and their 'never give up' attitude… albeit accompanied by the odd expletive!

I can highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a restoration project:

A huge thank you to all those who have helped me along the way, but especially to Bill Bourne (and the lovely and exceptionally tolerant Fiona), whose advice and guidance has been completely invaluable. I would have made a lot more mistakes on this car if it weren't for him.

I've enjoyed doing this Blog, and hopefully you've enjoyed reading it.If you're at the Inter-Club TR International Show at Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse in August, come over and say hello and check out the car. In the meantime, here's what she looks like now…
