White Rose April meeting

We had a well attended meeting in April, but two of our regulars were down with Covid and could not attend. There was a lot of discussion about our summer runs, and Brian sorted a “ Drive it Day” run, for us to start the year with.

Martin brought his 88 year old Father, to the meeting, who really joined in the discussions, proving you are never to old to start your love for TR’ s.

Andrew and Jackie were in Whitby, organising our outing there in early June. It is a three day trip that we have done for the last few years and always works very well.

Peter is really getting on with his ultimate TR6, having painted it himself to a very high standard. He has fitted a lot of modern mods to the car and will soon be in the position of too many yellow TR6’s in his garage. Paul has also completed his power assisted steering on his TR6 and we look forward to giving it a try.

I am fitting my TR2 with its interior, and have found a good supplier of carpets , made in this country. I was surprised to find all the TR Suppliers were out of stock of Black carpets, as the delivery date is only three weeks from “ Tech auto’s”.

Paul B has his TR6 engine back and we are fitting it to his car, together with his overhauled gearbox. All making a good start to our 2022 year of getting our cars out at last and enjoying our time together.
