Wilton Wake Up and TR Mega-meet - A day of two breakfasts and lots of TRs.

Fitting two breakfasts in on a Sunday was quite a logistical feat and no weekend lie-in was possible. There was a good turnout from the Wessex Group at the Wilton 'Best of British' event, led by our Group Leader, Richard in TS2 on loan from HQ for the weekend. Having arrived in style (apart from your correspondent in a modern BMW – but that's another story that he is tired of relating and listeners equally tired of hearing), most of our Group were fortunate to park in the courtyard.

Having met up and had our first breakfast, it was soon time to move on for our second appointment of the day at the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford for the TR Mega-meet. This entailed a yomp down the A303, but given the time of day traffic was light and mostly comprised of TRs! We arrived slightly later than others due to our previous appointment so parking was tricky but TS2 took centre stage.

There was an excellent showing of TRs of every model. The museum was well worth a visit and it was lovely renewing acquaintances with TRR members from other Groups who attended. The chatter continued for so long that the second breakfast merged into lunch!
