Many thanks to everyone who attended last month's meeting and also a big thank you to David and Tracie Bailey for organising the post meeting run to Grapenhall Walled Gardens.

Red Rose meeting Super Sunday 9th June

June's Red Rose meeting includes three options for you to make the most of you TR.

The day kicks off with the option of attending the Big Boys Breakfast Run from Antrobus Village Hall. The event includes breakfast between 8 and 10am with cars departing at 10 for a circa 50 mile run through Cheshire returning to Antrobus Village Hall for 1 where you can stay on for concourse judging and awards OR jump back in the car for a short run of a couple of miles and join us at The Cock at Budworth meeting where there will be the usual banter and updates of all the forthcoming events over the next couple of months and, for those who attended the May Gawsworth event, the draw for two free theatre tickets at Gawsworth. We will be leaving the Cock at Budworth around 2:15 and driving the short distance to the Lion Salt Works Vintage festival where Keith Nuttall has kindly arranged dedicated parking for up to 12 cars. If you haven't been to the Salt Works museum Vintage Festival before it is well worth a visit with steam engines on display plus music, barbeque and other attractions along with the opportunity to go on the guided tour of the salt works. Last year's event was a great success with around 18 Red Rose cars attending filling the allocated car parking spaces and over spilling into the car park - Why not join us for one or all of the three events.

Pre registration for the Big Boys Breakfast is required together with entry fee of £12 for the car and driver. Entry forms are available on Red Rose Facebook page or email Jonathan / Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com before Saturday 1st June.

Red Rose meeting at the Cock at Budworth will be starting from mid day with anyone joining from the Big Boys Breakfast arriving at 1pm.

Entry to the Salt Works Vintage Festival is free with pre allocated car parking on a first come first served basis. Details of the entry fee for guided tours to the salt museum are available on the museum web site www.lionsaltworks.westcheshiremuseums.co.uk

Red Rose group will again be attending June Tatton Classic car show and hopefully repeating last year's award for best stand. All the spaces have now been allocated and we are looking forward to seeing everyone who has booked on.

Ten Red Rose cars will be setting off on Sunday 2nd June for the Red Rose trip to the Isle of White which has been expertly organised by John and Jane Leleu. Keep an eye out next week on the Red Rose Facebook page for photos and updates of our trip.

22nd June - Bunbury Village Day

Red Rose have been invited to attend this year's Bunbury Village Day where our cars will be taking part in the village parade from 12 mid day and enjoying the afternoons events. We still have a few places left and would be particularly interested in anyone who has a TR4, 5 or 8 in joining us as ideally we would like to have a car representing each of the TR range on display. Whatever you're TR if you are interested in joining us on what promises to be a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon email Jonathan and Caroline at trredrose@hotmial.com for more details.

Car Fest Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire, 26th – 28th July 2019

TR Register Red Rose group have been accepted to be one of only two car clubs invited to display in the Vintage Village at this year's TR Fest North.

Car Fest is a place to have a great time doing great things. Founded by Chris Evans, it's a super-charged weekend and a must attend event for all car and music fans.

This year's attractions include the usual eclectic range of cars, food, drink, vintage fair and many other attractions plus The Jacksons, Tony Cristie, Beverly Knight, Johnny Marr, Jack Savoretti, Texas, Kaiser Chiefs, Ziggy Marley, Jools Holland and many more over the three days.

As previous years we will be limited to five cars per day with a variety of cars representing the marquee desirable on each day.

Cars must be on site from 7:30am with option to depart around 7:30pm or you can stay on for the evening's entertainment.

Cost per day per car (two occupants) is £52.00, a MASSIVE saving over an average day ticket cost of over £75.00 EACH.

This is a not to be missed opportunity to attend a premier car / music event at a heavily discounted rate whilst contributing to Children in Need.

Places will be allocated to ensure as wide a range of cars are on display on each of the three days as possible and registration is open to all TR Register members.

Early application is advisable - Contact Andrew Heywood at brydon38@aol.com for an application.
