Happy 50th Birthday TR6!
One of our long-term members, Steve Denton, has owned a very early TR6 for over a decade. Steve has recently put the car back on the road following two years of restoration work, including a new chassis. The car must be one of the oldest TR6s on the road now, being an early 1969 model.
Steve's car is very local in origin, with the first proud owner taking delivery on April 4th, 1969. Spookily enough, April 4th 2019 was a club night for us-so we decided to return to the site of the car's first registration-Douglas Motors in Sheep Street, Northampton
The garage has relocated and a residential apartment block now stands in its place. However, despite the poor weather, we gathered four TRs to celebrate with Steve and his car before going on to our meeting at the Aviator in Sywell.
