Kennet Valley TR Group brave the threat of 'liquid sunshine' at Newbury Classic

4 Kennet Valley TR Group member cars along with a TR7 from the local TSSC, braved the forecasted rain and attended the Newbury Classic organised by WBCVC in aid of Bloodwise.

Despite the weather, there was overall a good turnout even though the atmosphere was a little subdued.

Good interest in the cars from members of public visiting, made it worthwhile being there, and members enjoyed time browsing the auto-jumble stalls and looking at the fantastic wide range of classics on display.

In the hall, the NRCC (NEWBURY RADIO-CONTROLLED CAR CLUB) had a race meeting racing 1/10th and 1/12th scale radio-controlled cars on a carpet surface, you could even smell the 'burning' rubber and it was amazing watching the speed of these models but much more the skill of control and lightning reflexes of the operators.

Usually a large donation of funds are raised for Bloodwise and even though numbers are down slightly, the donation is sure to be good again this year. Hopefully next year will be sunny again?
