Glavon Group Run to Five Zeros Supercar Barn - 7th April 2024

The weather forecast had initially promised some poor weather in the wake of Storm Kathleen, but it turned out much better than predicted on the day. After meeting at Eastwood Park Garden Centre near Thornbury for coffee and breakfasts, the circuitous route avoiding towns took us up through the Vale of Berkeley, then up on to the Cotswolds to rendezvous with another three cars at our regular haunt of The Hunters Hall at Kingswood. We then continued round to the north of Chippenham and Calne, and over the Marlborough Downs to The Vale of Pewsey and onwards to Bradford on Avon, a total of about 84 miles which included some flooded sections and some of the worst potholes we've ever encountered!

Our destination was The Five Zeros Supercar Barn which gets it name from the £100,000 minimum value of the cars stored here and which are all on full public display with no admission charges for visitors such as us. There were certainly some magnificent cars to be seen there, but some of them would have struggled on some of the roads we had just encountered!!  Our arrival, our cars caused considerable interest and probably more than the arrival of further supercars would have done.

   Five Zeros also has a large American style diner serving some very nice food to keep us going on the homeward journey!
