East Riding Group – Daffodil Run Sunday 7 April 2024

A very good turnout for our April Daffodil Run on Sunday 7 April, 12 cars of which 9 were TR’s and good to see Paul and Janet in their Stag. The weather finally broke and from setting off we were rain free with hoods down and enjoying some spring sun. First half was a meander through East Yorkshire back roads and villages, some saying the first time they had been on some of these roads. Half way stop was at Kilwick Percy Hall where some enjoyed coffee and cakes and others a walk around the walled gardens. Second half ventured into North Yorkshire with some great views and yes we did see some daffodils but not as many as the previous recce’s when all were in full bloom, think we may name to rename this run the Spring Lamb run next year. Run ended at The Stone Trough Inn at Kirkham Abbey with 19 of us sitting down for a well deserved drink and very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Thanks to all who attended.
