Chiltern TR group - News update 06 October 2022

Great meeting last night, well attended and very busy.
A couple of things came up that you need to know about.
Firstly, I mentioned in my last email the sad passing of Martin Roberts, the proprietor landlord of The Peacock, after a long illness. He was a good friend and supporter of the group and will be greatly missed. We learned last night that there will not be a formal service (not a public one, anyway) but there will be a celebration on Saturday 15th October at The Peacock from 3-5pm. His many friends, neighbours and customers will be there so parking will be an issue. If you are planning to be there, you should consider car sharing if at all possible.
Secondly, the Christmas Dinner Dance on Saturday 10th December. Spaces are rapidly running out. We are limited to 80 places due to the size of the function room so, if you are interested make your booking and pay at least the deposit very soon and if you are still thinking about it, you need to decide asap. The flyer and menu are attached. Our bank details are shown for transfers. The name of the account is “TR Register – Chiltern Group” (it is a business account). We will need your menu choices by the beginning of November at the latest. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Des Gilmore or myself. Book today to avoid disappointment !!
