Social Scene Report 314

Hi fellow followers. Our Pub meets are still being well supported and this month included a visit from Dick Goodey and Brian Hardy from the Leicestershire Group. Since last writing we held the third of our Saturday Lunch meets at The Shoe at Offord Darcy which again was well supported.

On 13th April we visited TRGB where, courtesy of Garry, the team inspected the underside of twelve of our cars to ensure they were safe for the season. During the morning we were treated to Bacon Butties, tea, coffee and biscuits, courtesy of Leanne. We thank them both and their team for their hospitality.

Peter Parkinson organised a trip by a small group to the International Bomber Command centre at Lincoln, followed by a visit to the Cogglesford Water Mill at Sleaford.

Then for Drive it Day we mustered 16 cars to travel to the National Trusts Blicking Hall in Norfolk. This did include one Porsche, but we will forgive him for that as he does have a TR in his collection.

On Friday 12th May, a small group of us visited the Swan at Moulton, Lincs, for lunch and then on to visit the nearby delightful Jersey Cottage Nursery where our ladies increased his profits for the month.

Finally, Camb Followers will now be under the Directorship of Dave Soloman who is the East Director for the Register so I think we can look forward to joining in some events with our neighbouring groups.
