Abbott & Stour Report - TR Action 329 - May 2021
Hello there, trust you are all well and looking forward to a cautious exit from the current restrictions. The last few reports have been made amongst news of lockdowns, tiers moving upwards and restrictions on travel so its really good that the worst to report is that its only snowing today (5th of April).
So far as Drive it day is concerned we have nothing planned but I would urge you all to purchase one of the Rally Plaques from the Register to support a very worthwhile cause and get the TR out, if it’s on a necessary journey, hopefully we can get our Click and Collect shopping on that day.
Looking forward, the Sporting Car Club of Norfolk SCCON is organising their run on 1st of August, visit their website to book for a great day out. Some of us have participated in the past and it is a great way of exploring the countryside with a very clear route (no matrimonial disputes so far) and seeing a great variety of cars.
If we have the planned further relaxation on the 17th of May I am hoping that we can have a small informal gathering in the car park at The Manger on 8th of June at about 7.30 pm. This will be a short, socially distanced, shouting match to see if we can recognise each other as I am sure we will all have changed in the last 12 months (name badges with photos may be an idea). As everything can change at the last moment I will be sending out a Round Robin just before that date to confirm whether this is going ahead.
That's about it apart from the fact that TR4’s in the group seem to be finding new homes and that TR7’s could predominate!
