A visit to Bodiam Castle - a glimpse of medieval splendour

A second chance to visit a splendid castle down in Sussex followed by lunch in the excellent Castle Inn just across the road.

We had hoped to go on the 19th of June but the weather wasn't so good. Hopefully it will be better at the end of July.

Planned departure is 9am from the Hog's Back services for a two hour run to the castle. Couple of hours for obligatory tea and cake at the cafe then a wander round the castle and grounds. As a bonus we may even see a steam train.
