The TR Register is sad to learn of the passing of TR works rally ace navigator Johnstone Syer.
Alongside Brian Culcheth, with whom he navigated for over 12 years in both TR7s and 2.5PIs, he also sat alongside some of the greats including Roger Clark, Tony Pond, and fellow Scot Andrew Cowan. His co-driving skills guided them on the route to success, as this painting of him from the club shop depicts. A charming man who was always enthusiastic about sharing his stories with fans and enthusiasts.
